Ideally located campsite for
your stay in Roscoff, Finistère

Roscoff, a magnificent “Petite Cité de Caractère” in the Pays du Léon region, has preserved, enlivened and enhanced its exceptional architectural heritage. The 16th-century church of Notre-Dame de Croas Batz with its Renaissance bell tower, the elaborate ossuaries, the shipowners’ houses with their sculpted turrets and dormer windows… In a granite setting, Roscoff immerses you in a history rich in great merchants, shipowners, privateers and artists…

Roscoff has retained its charm of yesteryear, when its port was the most important in the region. Shaped by the sea, this “city of character” on a peninsula in the north-west of Morlaix Bay is a magnet for visitors.

Indeed, it’s hard not to fall under the spell of its historic center with its flower-filled streets, stone houses and sandy beaches. The old port is one of the town’s must-see spots, home to the Roscoff lighthouse and nautical center.

Stroll along the quays and you’ll see ancient fortifications and cannons. From the old port, at the pier, there are many daily ferries to the island of Batz (approx. 15 min crossing).

In the 1970s, a marina was built not far from the old port, the Port du Bloscon. Thanks to this deep-water harbor, Roscoff can host major events such as the 54ᵉ Solitaire du Figaro in September 2023.

Since 1974, it’s been possible to reach Plymouth during your Roscoff-England crossing, then very quickly other destinations were proposed such as Saint Malo, Santander in Spain, or Cork in Ireland or from Roscoff.

Last but not least, Roscoff is a gourmet land. Roscoff PDO onions have a subtle, fruity taste with little spice. It’s a popular salad ingredient. You can also try kig ha farz, a traditional recipe typical of the Pays du Léon in the Bay of Morlaix.

It’s a mixture of wheat flour-based far, vegetables and meats. Roscoff and Morlaix Bay in general also offer excellent seafood (spider crab, crab cakes, oysters, etc.).
