The Ar Kleguer campsite is ideally located right on the beach for leisure fishing in Brittany. Angling directly from the campsite, or fishing on foot, taking advantage of the foreshore, with its vast expanse of sand, gravel, rocks and seaweed to flush out the seafood you’ll be able to enjoy on your return. In North Finistère, and more particularly in Morlaix Bay, you can enjoy a wide range of fishing activities: on foot, with a line, from the shore or from your boat (kayak or paddle), or even underwater. Don’t hesitate to ask at the campsite reception (we can give you some good tips!).

À Saint Pol de Léonthe fishing opportunities just below the campsite are numerous and also depend on tidal coefficients. In Roscoff, opposite theIle de Batz, you’ll find a wide variety of spots to fill your fishing basket. Don’t hesitate to ask us for the tide times by e-mail. This will enable you to plan your vacation period.
It’s a fun activity that children will enjoy immensely. The nature and adventure aspect appeals to young and old alike. Especially when the fun continues right through to tasting your own catch. There’s nothing like a bowl of periwinkles or clams to garnish your aperitif.

Angling in Morlaix Bay
and on Batz Island
Angling is possible from our campsite in Finistère, directly from Pointe du Kleguer but also from the surrounding area. High tide and rising tide are the best times, when the fish come up and hunt. Enjoy the beauty of North Finistère while you sit back, fish and just relax.
- On the cork or on the bottom, you have to play with currents, rocks and seaweed: bass are the main species caught here.
- With lures or worms: we’ll explain the best places to find them, and we have forks at your disposal.
- Surf casting is also available on the Dossen beach, 6 km from our campsite in Saint Pol de Léon.
The fishing spots of Morlaix Bay and Batz Island are very varied, and a guide is available at the reception desk of our campsite near Roscoff or at the tourist office. From the Roscoff marina, fishing guides can take you to the best spots in the bay, and kayak, sailboat and RIB rentals are available: plaisancebaiedemorlaix.com
Underwater fishing inFinistère
The Bay of Morlaix is a great place for it. The area around Ile de Batz is incredibly rich, accessible by foot, kayak or boat.
The subject is vast, you’ll find it. Seal encounters and accompanied snorkelling trips are organized by the Saint-Pol-de-Léon, Carantec or Plougasnou clubs.
And you can enjoy seafood bought at the market or directly from the fishermen on the old port in Roscoff: fish, crabs, shells, scallops… a real delight of freshness and quality.
