Discover the Crozon peninsula
during your stay at the campsite

Whether you’re a regular or occasional camper, whether you know Brittany like the back of your hand or are lucky enough to be discovering it for the very first time, why not make the most of your stay at our North Finistère campsite to plan a few getaways? We recommend a visit to the magnificent Crozon peninsula, a jagged spit of land full of character.

The Crozon peninsula in Finistère offers breathtakingly beautiful scenery. This Breton paradise boasts wild, unspoilt beaches such as La Palue. Little frequented, its powerful waves are a surfer’s delight. Admire the view of nature, cliffs and dunes. The Aber beach, between Crozon and Telgruc sur mer, is a beautiful sandy beach that is home to a wide variety of birds. Last but not least, Morgat beach is ideal for family bathing, even though it is not supervised. This beach is very lively in summer (children’s games, restaurants, free concerts, etc.).

Just over an hour’s drive from the Ar Kleguer campsite, crossing the Monts d’Arrée and the Armorique Regional Nature Park, the Crozon peninsula will seduce you with its authenticity and wild beauty.

Its natural setting offers remarkable landscapes: from small, sharp coves to vast expanses of moorland, from sand dunes to granite cliffs, a walk along Crozon’s footpaths allows you to discover nature from every angle. The flora and fauna are all there, with a festival of heather, gorse and lichen, where otters, bank swallows and even peregrine falcons frolic…

Day hikes, walks lasting a few hours or short strolls to stretch your legs, the GR34 and GR37 and many other smaller trails can be adapted to your every whim! On foot, on horseback, by bike or even on a donkey, don’t miss the chance to admire the colors and lights of the Crozon peninsula’s atypical relief and the vestiges of its rich military history.

water sports on the crozon peninsula

While some may see it as a cross, the shape of this territory, bordered by water on three sides, also resembles Neptune’s trident facing America and the open sea. So don’t hesitate to put on your swimsuit or wetsuit and enjoy! In fact, Crozon’s beaches are among the most beautiful in North Finistère!

For the more sporty among you, the coastline abounds with possibilities: kayaking, paddle, catamaran, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, dinghy sailing, towed buoys, kitesurfing, Optimist, fishing… Whether you choose to practice on your own or with an instructor, let yourself be tempted by the sensation of gliding and freedom! Before perhaps enjoying a well-deserved rest on the beach, with a glass of cider in the setting sun.

If you prefer a sea trip, you can discover Brest harbor on a large catamaran and sunbathe on the bow, rocked by the waves. Alternatively, you can board a motorboat and explore the Iroise Sea or Douarnenez Bay. Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of the 440 sea caves, the Vauban tower at Camaret or the naval activities at Île Longue?

Gourmets won’t want to miss a visit to one of the many Breton speciality factories on the Crozon peninsula: distillery, cider factory, dairy farm, cookie factory, chocolate factory, cannery… Your taste buds will thank you!

There are also several markets in the various communes, where you can buy fresh, local produce. Crozon, Argol, Camaret, Telgruc-sur-Mer, Lanvéoc and many others host traders’ stalls, allowing you to discover Breton life and architecture along the way.

Last but not least, numerous restaurants invite you to savor the colorful cuisine of Brittany, starting with seafood and fish, not forgetting the unmissable crêpes and galettes.

Before heading back to Saint-Pol-de-Léon and your bungalow at the Ar Kleguer campsite, will you be tempted by a buckwheat pancake or a honey flambée?
